Buzzard Rocks

Stay in the park as you approach the rocks from the trailhead; look for a log crossing of Rose River, which is often deep and swift. I have marked the location of Climbing Rose Falls since it is not shown on this old map. To get there, cross Rose River near the TH and then follow the first significant drainage feeding into it. It is less than a mile but steep to get there; the bushwhacking isn't too bad (except in summer). About the "Restricted" on Rose River Fire Road-- I don't know what it meant when this map was published, but now, the road is closed to bikes and motorized vehicles. Shenandoah National Park, VA
