C & O Canal Towpath Campsite

Potomac River Campsite found near the C & O Canal Towpath Though the campsite isn't really in view here, we had grassy tentsites, a picnic table and a water spigot nearby plus the beautiful river scene. The Towpath was actually just up to the right of the picture.

...could be just outside Salzburg, at the shore of the Salzach River...it feels so much like home!

This is one of my favorite pictures from my canal towpath days. It was a perfect crisp fall morning and fall is my favorite season!

In many respects, it's also my favorite season. The only slight drawback is that that's the time of year when you really start to feel the light receding and you notice the shortening of the days. But what feasts for the eye autumn can give you...my present profile image is a personal humble tribute to autumn...
