Re: An awesome sightThanks for the kind words! It's pretty crazy how green the alpine setting is around here.

Beautiful ...Wouldn't it be funny if they HAD filmed
"The Sound of Music" here, and while they
were dancing out in the alpine fields,
somebody tripped over a cairn hidden in the
grass???
Then again, it probably wouldn't have been
funny at all! Nice photograph, however!!!

Re: Beautiful ...and while they were dancing out in the alpine fields, somebody tripped over a cairn hidden in the grass??? Thus giving the peak its official name- haha, I'd laugh! Thanks!

couloirlooks awesome- can anyone describe the route to the base of that couloir?

Re: couloirindeed it does, it caught my eye too. I think the least technical approach would be via blackerby ridge, then dropping in. I haven't been up the couloir so I sent you a PM with some info that hopefully points you in the right direction
