Wish my home state had something better to offer.
Still enjoyed checking out this highpoint. I even made a return trip 15 years later (4/27/07) with my two kids. HP #6 for my son and my daughter's 1st.
The weather finally broke for our fourteenth summit. Please go to http://50summits.blogspot.com to read all it.

Spring '07
All alone atop Ohio, and it was...cold. Well, I had to go back to the car to get my sweatshirt, anyway. Interesting only because at the bottom of the small hill I didn't need it. Quite peaceful.

Motherly Summit
I convinced my mother that during my trip to Indiana that it would be a good idea to drive to Ohio to complete my 11th State highpoint and her first. We had a good day. Back to bigger highpoints in Colorado.

uneventful
Well it's better than MS for sure. I don't know what to make of this highpoint. It's not like it's all trashed up, it's well maintened, but it's kinda boring. It was a bit windy when I was there. Really no view though of anything special, and it lacks a flavor like IL and IN have.

Off to Cleveland via scenic route. Second state and 5th county HP of day. Intersting, this site was an early warning radar site in the Cold War. Ohio had alot of soybeans!

2nd highpoint in 2 days
I visited this one with Bristol Ellington who has accompanied me on actual hikes/climbs in the past. We drove up from Dayton where we were attending a conference and visited this one at 7:20 AM.
