Re: Have you considered adding this here?

I have seen that album and its beautiful. I added my photos to the places they belong -- like Zion, Bryce, etc... and figure if anyone else wants to snatch them for less related albums they can. :)

Tanya ...

Canaan Mountain looks great from every
angle! What is it exactly that people
eat in East Zion? Do they all gather for
some of that good old-fashioned Bumbleberry
pie! When people reach 49 there, do they
all start counting backwards? That's awesome!
Have a good one ... sorry 'bout the snow!
The Snow Gods are being especially generous
and giving this year! Keep on smilin'!!!

Re: Tanya ...

It's a big place and could take weeks to explore. The big thing here is Buffalo Burgers - Rocky Mountain Oysters
Rabbit Rattlesnake Sausage - Cornish Game Hens, BBQ Wild Boar and
BBQ Buffalo Ribs . The Buffalo Bistro has some of the best food in the Southwest! As owner Ron Terry says, "it's terrible, but they keep coming back." I will tell you all too soon about the 49 thing. :(

Re: Tanya ...

That's a whole 'nother level of YUM!!!
Yes, southern Nevada and southern Utah
are considered to be the Southwest. On
the south side of the Colorado River,
we have a lot of Mexican dishes. My wife
and friends really got me hooked on pork and cabbage; oysters and clams are delicious!!!
I guess a person can't go wrong with
Rocky Mountain Oysters; I need to look
that up in my "urban dictionary." When
I lived in Utah, my mother would always
make jello with bananas in it! Tropical
fruits are tops!!! It depends on where
a person was raised, and who they listened to.It's snowing once again here in Arizona!!!
Can't wait to hear about the '49' thing...
Best regards. - Larry

Re: Tanya ...

I am not so sure about that Rocky Mountain Oyster issue... I have never tried them! .. and I doubt I will. ;)

The Testicle Festival is a big hit at the Bistro each year too! Some people are really into those things. ~laughing~

I think pork is more my style at well! I have heard about Utah and Jello. ;p

Re: Tanya ...

Okay ... you pulled another fast one on
me! ~ LAUGHING ~ Rocky Mountain Oysters!!!
In South America, 'huevos del toro.' In
Montana, 'Montana tendergroin.' Very popular
in Eagle, Idaho!!! I just learned something,
and that's pretty awesome! Are you sure you
don't teach in school when you're not
involved in your Canyoneering activities???

Re: Tanya ...

I tried once... taught at a college -- Exercise Physiology, but I was doing Judo at the time (at the Olympic Training Center) and I could not get into the teaching so I did not last long at it. I had an urge to teach Kindergarten for a while, but it seems that although I am qualified to teach college I am not qualified to teach Kindergarten without some certificate and extra classes. Odd system. ~laughing~

Re: Well...

That's what I like about you. You're
laughing at something that some people would
take very seriously. It's very healthy to
laugh, but not as healthy as eating
SOUP NUMBER FIVE in the Philippines! : - ) Have a NICE weekend!!!

Re: Hello Bo!

Apparently, you didn't miss very much!
Guess I can give you a LINK. Tanya started
the whole thing by bringing up Rocky Mountain
Oysters. Then, another prominant Sp-member
made a joke about the subject. My wife who
was born in the Philippines saw the joke,
and exclaimed,"That's what we have in the
Philippines! Only there, we refer to it as
SOUP NUMBER FIVE! It's what people order
in a restaurant to help "RID" themselves
from the effects of a "hangover."
Don't know what it's got to do with mountains
on SP, but here's a link especially for you, Bo!
