"After the first glass, you see things as you wish they were. After the second, you see things as they are not. Finally, you see things as they really are, which is the most horrible thing in the world."

StairmasterHave climbed this numerous times. Usually just up the ridge. Now there is a switchback trail that is good for trail runners.

South TrailStarted hiking up the switchbacks then took the more direct route up the ridge. Nice hike with great views. Gets a ton of traffic!

Great Hailey Hike: Climbed Numerous timesThe ridge is fairly steep and provides for a good early and late season hike when snow covers larger mountains. Its proximity to town makes it a nice hike to do when you don't have a lot of time. The views from the top are quite pleasant. Probably the busiest hill in the area.

Route Climbed: Southern Ridge Date Climbed: September 7, 2005I went straight up the ridge instead of taking the switchbacks. Great view of Hailey during the entire hike. I recommend doing this hike in spring or fall instead of summer like me. It was a very hot day. Good view of the Pioneer Mountains from the top.

Route Climbed: Trail from south Date Climbed: 3/9/2003This is a easy hike with a trail to the top. The trail is southerly exposed and melts out early in the season.

Route Climbed: Southern ridge Date Climbed: Many timesThis hike is a classic. The first 4/5's of the climb is very strenuos but rewarding with many places to stop and drink in the view. The views are to die for and the work-out is splendid. The valley looks so very flat from the summit and the Pioneer Mtns are very vivid. This is not a hike to be over looked.
