SE Gully via Fern Lake TH
An enjoyable climb with great snow conditions. We went up the ridge from the fern lake/yost lake trail marker and traversed into the SE gully. Stellar view from the summit. Descended the SW slope.

East Slope via Fern Lake
Lots of waterfalls and snow slopes. Great scrambling over Fern Lake to ridge, other than that it's a boring slog. Terrific views though!

From Silverlake
A pleasant hike of about 13 miles. Took the trail to 10.040', then took the ridge around to the summit. Descended through Spooky Meadows, which was quite a bit shorter.

From Minaret Summit
Nice hike along the Sierra Crest. Final peak of the day after Two Teats and San Joaquin. Out and back from Minaret Summit.
Class 3 options on this slope too, not just class 2.

From the RV park across from Silver Lake
The smoke from the Rim Fire carried down all the way to Carson Peak, but we still enjoyed the hike to Angew Lake and up the West face of Carson Peak. Good day overall. Did the last 1,200' up the face in 50 minutes.

From Fern Lake
My wife and I went to Fern Lake, and found our way up the ramps and slabs. We were surprised (and a little crestfallen) to find a trail across the top, complete with horse poop.
I had been to the lake a few days earlier, and had picked a class 2 (mostly!) line around the cliffs.

With AJ and Tang via Silver Lake, Agnew lake, spooky meadow then up the plateau. 2-3' of snow cover starting from Spooky meadows made for incredible views.
