Great Weather  Sucess!

We went in over Long's Pass and camped at Ingalls Creek. At 64 years old, the Cascadian Couloir was a perfect workout. No ice axe or crampons were needed at this time of year and we went left of the snow field near the false summit. Once over the Ridge we spotted the summit and skirted below the ridge until we popped up onto the beautiful granite leading to the summit. Great climb. Our gaiters kept our boots clear of scree and sand in the Couloir. Weather couldn't have been better with absolutely no wind, blue sky, no jacket required. Unbelievably beautiful up there!

Cascadian  Sucess!

It was a scramble until the upper snowfield, where we roped up, and then the clouds dropped on us, so that we could not even see the top of the snowfield

Washed out...  Sucess!

Took our time. Last storm took out the trail in the lower half, as well as the zigzaggy trail from Longs pass to Ingalls Creek. pretty straight forward scree slog.

As a trail run  Sucess!

Did this on my 30th birthday. Very hard to run the couloir itself - very loose. 3 hours car to summit, 3 hours summit to car.

Under 14 hours from car to car with one hour on the summit. Redwic and I came over Longs Pass. A wonderful day!

One Awesome Day!!!  Sucess!

Fellow SP member "Gimpilator" and I did this as a one-day trek, via Longs Pass and Cascadian Couloir. 8000' total elevation gain and 13.25 hours (including one hour at the summit). Perfect weather conditions, and the awesome view from the summit made the entire climb worth it. One of my all-time favorite climbs.

Great time!  Sucess!

Very enjoyable. I appreciated the lack of "civilization". It was almost entirely my mountain, no one around, thats getting rare these days!

Classic scramble  Sucess!

The "permanent" snowfield below the false summit was completely melted out, and that loose gulley was the crux. We exited the gully to the left ASAP, and made one fourth class move (no exposure) down a narrow opening in the SSW ridge heading up to the false summit. Then it was easy scrambling through boulders to the summit.
