Castle Mountain, Banff NP, Alberta, Canada 2,766 m. (9,074 ft.) Castle Mountain’s two steep levels are visible here with Bow River in the lower left. Castle Mountain always catches visitors’ attention when traveling to Lake Louise and although it looks steep and intimidating from the road, it is ascended from the back side as a very long day hike or camp at Rockbound Lake higher up and make the finish a day hike.
