Second Try is Charm
First attempt (12-04-2012) got lost traveling from the west on the back roads of the Delaware Gap NP System.
This time came in from the east, on the way to our cabin in PA.
Clear, Sunny and a brisk 40f as we traveled a snow covered Fire Road from 602.

While taking groups backpacking during the summers of '69, '70 and '71. I remember the tower and stopping for the views.

Trail Magic
Got lots of trail magic on this day of my AT thru-hike. A familiar area where I've done a lot of hiking.

WINDY
Started from the road, pretty short hike with great views and high winds from the tower.

AT North from MOC
Quiet day on the AT, nice cool weather, me and the dog took it slow and enjoyed the views, had some lunch on top, grabbed some fresh blueberries and got to say hello to a black bear cub (got 2 action pics before my memory card filled up, doh!). Only ran into 3 groups during the time we were up. Wish the tower was accessable (i.e. no- no tresspassing signs). The ledges must be fun in the snow/ice ;-D. Thanks for another enjoyable NJ afternoon.

One of NJ's best
I liked this mountain. It was a fun hike to do here in NJ. Hard to believe I was sitting in 5 lanes of stopped traffic earlier in the day, and then was out enjoying myself totally away from everyone just a short time later. The views from the tower are nice, yet the whole way is pleasant. The NOBO route is steep in the begining, but I'm sure you can handle it.
Great views from the tower and a nice place to have lunch.

A nice mountain, for what we could see of it in the dark. Started up about an hour after sunset and reached the summit under a full moon, and windy, freezing temperatures. Climbed the tower to see the view (impressive), and moved on. Sacked out in a clearing about half a mile south of the summit.

Ricks RocksI've been all over up there, it's easy climbs, nice and desolate. Beautiful in the fall, especially from the top of the tower!
