CMC hike/bushwhack/scramble. We hiked in on the trail, bushwhacked up to the west ridge, then scrambled to the summit. Pretty short day, but a good workout. Great weather: it started out chilly, but once we got the sun, it warmed up nicely.

Scrambling Route
I had more fun on this peak than should be legal. Once you leave the saddle, this scrambling route is like a jungle gym. My team almost had to pull me off the summit I was so happy just sitting up there enjoying the warm sun and views. In particular, the view of Pikes Peak with Thunder Butte in the foreground is a stunner.

Awesome climb up the scrambling route. The views the entire way are amazing, and some very fun scrambling to get to the summit.

West Ridge
Scrambled up this one after climbing Banner Peak. This was my second time up here and always a joy.

I've spent many years climbing this area, Cynacle Pinacle, Bucksnort slab, helens Dome, South Turkey Rocks(lovely lighting story), Jackson Creek Dome, Big Rock Candy Mountain. the list goes on.

Route Climbed: Scrambling route Date Climbed: 12-18-05Jim and i needed to get out and stretch the legs, and this one made for a nice short day. So, close to Denver, i can see myself hiking this one often.
