Worth Exploring  Sucess!

I like this area a lot. I have climbed Cat Rock, Bobs Hill, Chimney Rock and Wolf Rock many times each since the 90s. I have also climbed Piney Mountain and College Mountain, just to the north, and Foxville Lookout, the highest point in the local area.

Sharing Memories  Sucess!

Took the direct route up to Chimney Rock which round trip is only about 2 miles. I took my 2 brother in laws with me for a visit. I climbed these mountains all the time as a teen but haven't been back in years. Used to spend so much time climbing in and around all the rocks. Nice memories to share.

Double loop hike  Sucess!

After the 4 mile loop to Wolf Rock and Chimney Rock from the Visitor's Center, continued on to Cunningham Falls, Hog Rock, Blue Ridge Summit overlook and Thurmont Vista; great spring day out in the woods.

fun  Sucess!

Have been a few times but when I was very young. Great place to hike and there are a few good rock climbs in this park.

Used to visit quite often

Our Boy Scout Troop has hiked and even backpacked in this area and the nearby Catoctin Mountain park many times. I really should go back for a dayhike in the fall or spring when it's particularly beautiful!
