This is a great loop and has been my favorite nearby hike. Already hiked it 4 times this year. I go up Cedar Run then up Hawksbill, over the horse trail, down the fire road and return via White Oak. Seem to be about a 10 mile loop. This past weekend in the 90 degree heat the waterfall water was refreshing to dip the feet into but still too cold for some swimming.

Lots of elevation gain.
Definitely a much more challenging way up Hawksbill and well worth it.
