Snow

I see patches of snow, what time of the year is this?

Hi Nader,
Yes that is snow, this picture was taken on 20th June 2022.
The area in the picture has been described by writer Adam Watson as being "more akin to Canada, Iceland or the arctic tip of Norway than the Alps." Also "nowhere in these islands can you be so high for so long".
Having said that, he wrote that about 40 years ago. Then, it was common for snow to last all year long on the high plateau. I doubt that these patches have lasted through this summer as it has been hot all over the UK this year. Even in Scotland!
