Cetina source

Cetina source

Source of Cetina river is perhaps most amazing of numerous Croatian karst river sources. Cetina comes out of 100m deep and perpendicular hole, at the foot of Dinara (1830m), highest Croatian mountain. When visiting Dinara mountain don't miss this amazing spot, especially if climbing via Glavas route, which is nearby. Photo: Aleksandar Gospic

Re: uau!

Thanks Bor! You have to see it live one day, it is almost scary to look into it :-)

Re: swimming?

Well, I'm not sure how many people can stand that cold water but why not. Anyway this is quite a lonely area so there aren't many locals who could swim in Cetina river source. Maybe someone crazy enough from other parts of Croatia could go there to take a dip :-) There was an expedition to explore this hole and they descended to the depth of 100m. It is completely perpendicular and only at around 100m it curves. Of course, they had special suits and diving equipment.
