Better done counterclockwise imo
I've done this loop ~10 times over the years, and I definitely think that it's more fun to do counterclockwise. Also, I didn't see this mentioned in the route description, but there's a cool complex of narrower slots extending from the west wall of the canyon just north of the boulder with the log ladder. You can either climb up out of the canyon from there or take a rectangular loop that will bring you back to the main slot through an opening that's about 8" wide at its narrowest.

One great hike!
The change in scenery and formations are quite amazing. One of the best short hikes on our 2 week trip through southern Utah.

Enjoyed this Joint
Evan and I endured a half hour of cloudburst before a crystaline day in the Needles. The beautiful sage green and red sandstone of Chesler Park will never be forgotten.

Chesler Park/Joint Trail
Left Moab 5:30 a.m. Started my hike at 7:05 a.m. The first 2.1 miles were a repeat from 3 days ago when I hiked to Druid Arch. I was blown away by the beauty of the needles in Chesler Park. Back to car at 12:55 p.m.
