Nice shot

Cheyenne's a fun mountain. I remember climbing it back before the area was full of houses, and bighorns and foxes were regularly seen on her slopes and ridges.

Thats so cool,I climb it often ,seen coyotes, no big horn yet there old sign of them, i see big horn on the base of summerlin peak a 1/4 of the way up.

Summerlin's another good one. That left skyline is a worthwhile route.

yea , i hike that ridge and rolled my ankle coming down a while back. need go back up and get my watch that i lost.

Consider continuing along the ridge from Summerlin on over to Mount Woody. A fun section of ridge is traversed along the way.

mt. woody ? ok will look into it, not familar with the that mt.
i have hiked that ridge from summerlin peak north but stop because i was running out of day light, doesnt that ridge line go towards lone mt road by the mines?

If you continue up and over Summerlin Peak, the next peak is locally known (to some) as Mount Woody. The next mountain after that is called Mount Gottlieb. Lots of nice peaks back in there to bag. And don't forget about East La Madre - that's among the best of the lot.

Naaah, just a dayhike...but with lots of ups and downs! Plan on a long day.

will do. and thank you. going to la madre peak this sunday with a bunch of hikers dont think i'll get to explore like i like. but its a peak that havent done.

getting educated

i'm wasting time today , went to your webpage saw that you have books published,pretty cool quess i'll have buy them, saw some of your links one called peak bagger, had no idea! they had such a thing.i had no idea what you have accomplish i thought i was talking with some local schmoe who hiked. not the alpha omega himself. lol .
i just started doing peaks , always thought it was spiritual to be on top of them. didnt relize others did peaks also learning quickly
