I often wonder

if a particular person (or team of people)
have climbed "such and such" wall or
escarpment. I know this is a mountaineering
site, but sometimes its HEAVEN just to look
UP at a rock from down below, and count your
blessings from there.

I've doing the same since I started hiking and climbing many years ago. And we are a bit unusual, I think. My dear husband while accompanying me on drives through the mountains just doesn't get it!

Some leaves are turning in Maryland. Our beautiful cherry tree lost its leaves completely a week ago and rains this past week probably accelerated fall. I wish I could get to the Skyline Drive during the week.....
