Started in Alpine at the "Lehi gate". From 1st hamengog, took the Lake Hardy trail up to Chipman, and then over to UPWOP along Lightning ridge. Fantastic views once you hit the saddle between it and Thunder ridge.
Climbed up to Chipman along the Beatout. Awesome views of Box Elder, Timp, and Utah Lake! Still a long way to go after...

Beatout
Made the summit as part of the Beatout Hike with David and Kendrick. The views were among the best I've seen in the Wasatch, thanks in part to some cool, cloudy weather. See "Misty Mountains" trip report for details.

Chipman
I did the Beatout Route with Brandon and Kendrick. It was an incredibly scenic route. It was a long day but worth it. (Pfiefferhorn, Upwop, Chipman, South Thunder).

Low Priority
A low priority Wasatch Peak. Nothing remarkable about it. I grabbed it on the same morning as Bell's and the Thunder Mountains and Lightning Ridge just because I was already there. Those other peaks are superior, but Chipman is nice for the numbers too and gives a new perspective on Bell's and the backside of Lone Peak, which is worth a photograph at least. It is just a gentle walk up. Will want crampons early in the season. Great camping between this peak and Bells, about equidistant by a lake. Forget the name, but easily found on the map.

Due to haze from wildfires, the view was very limited. Saw nobody else between Pfeifferhorn and Upper Bells reservoir.
