Christmas Meadows

Christmas Meadows

From the lowlands of the headwaters of the Bear River in the Stillwater Fork Drainage, is the place called Christmas Meadows. From this location you look south and see Ostler Peak at 12,718 (left) and Spread Eagle Peak at 12,540 (right). In June, the green grass and blooming flowers of the meadow provide the ideal surroundings for wildlife in all their varieties. A favorite place of mine to camp in preparation for long hikes into this magnificent area.
