Pingora and Wolfhead are on the list as well as looking at some other things in the area. As for the Vestal,Arrow area in August, we are also planning about 5 days down there during that time frame. We don't know dates yet but that's an easy time to get off from work.
...area, definitly on my destination list. Too bad it sounds so crowded, is it mostly backpackers/fishers, or are the climbs crowded too? Not that it matters, still would go there. Great page too, very informing.
Thanks. On a typical summer weekend, you'll find backpackers, fishermen, day hikers, etc. At that time, expect crowds on the standard routes of Pingora and Wolf's Head. Other peaks will not be as crowded. The best time to go to the Cirque is immediately after Labor Day. The bugs are gone, the people are gone, and the stormy weather has settled a bit. However, anytime after Labor Day could produce a dusting of snow. Good luck on your trip.
There WAS a page for that route, but now it's gone. I didn't put it up but I remember that the guy who did was from England. I didn't see his summit log, so I have no idea what happened. I can put the route up if you like, but I would like to PM Jason (jwclimbs) and find out what happened first. Here's my Pingora Page on my website if you're interested: http://www.jackieandalan.com/pingoraroute.html

Sure. I remembered printing it few years back before our first trip out there. Today went to Pingora page and did not see it. Was curious why a route page (seemed good I think?) would vanish.

Untitled CommentJon, thanks for the vote. Don't you have a yellow lab? We're supposed to get a yellow lab in about 6 weeks. Our pup was born last week. Should be fun.

?Hi Alan,
I have a question. Wasn't there a route page for the South Buttress on Pingora that you've put up? If so what happened to it?
Radek
