That photo

really gives a sense of the difficulty involved.
Pretty amazing that people can climb stuff like that.

What is truly amazing is that over that roof it keeps going for about 800'. I took this picture standing on top of pitch 3's rocker block there is about 1000' of sustained 5.12 climbing to the top, truly amazing thing is alex honnold climbed it with no more than climbing shoes and a chalk bag! and he did it alone. we climbed it as an aid climb.

Honnold must be exempt from the law of Gravity. At least it seems so, to watch him climb.

BTW, David-cool that you could climb that sucker, also!

thanks tim, but i did not do it like he did. I only wish is was climbing 5.13, However i did this as 5.10b C1+ aid climb with some free climbing. It can also be climbed as 5.8 c1+ ive done it both ways.

Type YDS in the seach for area legpowered did a pretty good article on ratings included is aid ratings, however the best way to get familiar is to start aid climbing which i would recommend right away if you are considering trad climbing/

I am certainly wanting to start trad climbing at some point, so I will give aid climbing a look see.
