It was an absolutely perfect day on Mount Hood. If I had been prepared, It would have been the ideal day for a summit bid. The Illumination Saddle / Rock is a great afternoon hike and an Ideal place to watch the sunset.

Hood, by the standard route, in the summer, is an easy solo. There is a boot path all the way up. Just follow the trail.
