Climbing W ridge Pigeon

Climbing W ridge Pigeon

Parts of the W ridge of Pigeon Spire looks steep when you're on it. If you look closely here, you'll find Craig Lintz leading in the center of the pic. We stayed roped up on the ascent because the steep steps looked so steep, like you see here. Looks can be deceiving. On the return, we unroped after the summit rappel, then downclimbed with the ropes coiled.

The saying we had

when I lived in WA was, 'be there
or be square, but don't forget
your long underwear! NICE shot!!

I figure in the Bugaboos you could set your camera to fire a shot every minute, then load it in a clear ball and play soccer with it for an hour. You'd have 60 random shots, and enough of them would be prizewinners to fill a calendar.

Re: Thanks

Ha, ha! Now that's the humor I love
to hear! We need much more of that on
SP! Yes, those Bugaboos are true classics
in the mountaineering world, or any world
for that matter! Have a great one, Eric!!
