Too much haze  Sucess!

Easy hike with no view because of the haze caused mostly from pollution. A fun way to stretch the legs, however.

Super Foggy  Sucess!

For being such a lame hike I was hoping at least for a view - but no such luck...super dense fog and even some thunder and lightening! Fun climbing (I mean walking) with my friends anyway!

Sad but View  Sucess!

Not for the hiker, but worth the time to see the view. There are quite wonderful ridge trails right nearby that offer solitude and dramatic wild vistas.

Walk Up  Sucess!

I hated this walk up but I was interested to see the area. Incredible how many whiney out of shape people were there that day.

Animal in a zoo  Sucess!

I climbed this mountain a few years ago. It was the pinnacle of a 5 day trip in the Smokies. Hiking up to the parking lot there was a woman standing in the middle of the trail just staring at us. I thought there was a bear behind me. I guess she just couldn't believe we had walked all the way up there. Oh yeah, and visibility was zero!

Should have brought more water  Sucess!

I climbed this one from Elkmont campground. Wasn't expecting the heat humidity to be an issue and ended up dehydrating myself... stupid mistake. Either way I made it to the top. Great hike. Hiking from a lower elevation is worth it, you get to enjoy the dense forest and the nooks between the mountain ridges.
