Clokey Catchfly (Silene clokeyi)

Clokey Catchfly (Silene clokeyi)

I spotted this Clokey Catchfly (Silene clokeyi) along Devil's Thumb route to Charleston Peak above 11,000 feet. This plant is endemic to the Spring Mountains, Nevada. It is a relative of the carnation that you will see only on Charleston Peak ,Griffith Peak and Mummy Mountain.
