Colchicum autunnale, Prai da Gom (Monte Biaina)

Colchicum autunnale, Prai da Gom (Monte Biaina)

The Autumn colchicum is also called "False Saffron" and is a poisonous autumn plant. It is very similar to the true saffron (Crocus sativus). How to distinguish it? Saffron is composed of 3 stamens, while the colchico has 6 stamens.
