Scampered around for a day in between Holy Cross in Colorado and Tuk/Peale in Utah.
Visited most major marked trails.
Came here on our annual Southwest trip in April of 2017. Checked out most of the viewpoints and short trails on the first day and then camped at the campground. Next day we hiked the Black Ridge Trail from the visitors center, came down the CCC Trail, and hitched a ride back. Saw a big, bright green and yellow lizard! Views were fantastic! I'd really like to come back and hike around some more!
Great weekend trip to Colorado National Monument. Great red rock scenery. Highlights were the Monument Canyon hike and Liberty Cap hike.
Very enjoyable, mellow tower.
A couple of hours in May of 1993
Spent 6.5 days in April of 2016 hiking pretty much all of the trails of the park.
Close to our new home. Fun!
Nice in the shoulder seasons.
drove through a few times and also did some hiking. Way to hot for me, but also some stunning views.
multiple visits - hiking, climbing, canyons. Grand Junction is our huge metropolis where we head once a while to hit REI and bookstores :) and typically doing some hiking in the area.
5 minutes from where I live. I explore and train for climbing peaks here. I still have places I've yet to visit on my list. Moab is crowded. Check this place out if you want to see awesomeness without being surrounded by awe's...
many climbs and even a couple first ascents.
several hikes in 2010 and 2011. I live only 1 hr away. Nice hiking.
absolutely love this place!....and it's really great that something so special is close to the front range(~3.5-4 hrs). independence monument will always be a special climb for me, and kissing couple along with other towers certainly have my attention.
can't wait for what's next!
Every time I was in Northern America ('93, '95 and '97) I've been to Grand Junction and everyt time I was there I went hiking around the beautiful Colorado National Monument.
so beautiful and fun!
