Conodriri Base Camp, Bolivia

This shot shows the basic set up for the Condoriri Base Camp -- the launching points for hikes up Pico Austria and climbs up Cabeza Del Condor and Pequeño Alpamayo (as well as a dozen other, les-climbed peaks). The base camp has two high alpine lakes, several well constructed toilets (which may empty in aforementioned lakes??), and ample room for camping. There were between 4-7 other teams using the base camp while we were there. The girl in the photo makes the trip to the base camp every day with her grandfather to sell gloves, hats, and ondas!
