Thanks! I took a fancy for Ogalalla yesterday. However, I'm not such a great winter climber, and I may have to wait until next summer. The traverse from Elk Tooth already seemed beyond my threshold in the current conditions. BTW, I'm sure you would have appreciated the views of IPW from Copeland yesterday. They were truly spectacular. I took a couple of pictures, but they didn't come out well.

Great page, Brenta. Loads of information and your usual high-quality photos. I just came across this one while looking for a moderate late-winter summit. I remember seeing Copeland from Meadow back in December with you and thinking it looked like a pleasent little hike. Now I see that it would be a rather long hike for this time of year. Perhaps in the spring...

You are a faster hiker than I, but I would not attempt it at this time of the year: too long. The descent to Ouzel Lake would be a true bushwhacking nightmare and present some avalanche danger. The SE gully should also be avy-prone, and one may have to go around it.
