bushwhack to Cornell-Slide col
Started at the camp ground and crossed the Woodland Valley stream on the trail Bridge, but I almost inmmediately left the trail for an unmarked and fading trail to the right. I next had to skirt the private property- a slippery bit of side-hilling- before I dropped into the Woodland Valley Stream drainage. A very nice ridge climb leads to the Cornell/Slide col. See trip report this page for more details.

Cornell
Climbed with Slide and Wittenberg via the Wittenberg-Cornell-Slide Trail from Route 47. Had a blast climbing the ledges during the traverse from Slide. Not many views on the summit but had a great view of Slide from the trail as the clouds blew by.

This is a separate peak?!
Almost blew right by this one without even noticing it! Fun ridge between Cornell and Wittenburg. Great view of Slide Mtn. on the west side.

Bushwhack Range Dayhike
This was a fun one to do in the winter. A group of us dayhiked the "Bushwhack Range" with a car drop, hitting eight peaks: Peekamoose, Table, Lone, Rocky, Balsam Cap, Friday, Cornell and Wittenberg.
It is a great hike! The loop from Woodland Valley over Wittenberg, Cornell, and Slide then around the back. I think it is like 16 miles.

part of the hat trick
along with Wittenberg and Slide I climbed Cornell on the same day as part of fantastic loop hike. It's some fun hiking from Wittenberg to Cornell, and from Cornell to Slide.
