great day  Sucess!

Fantastic trip, set out from La Pradera late in the afternoon in perfect conditions, walking up to Goriz in the evening sun. Bivouacked at Lago Helado under a beautiful star-lit sky before an early morning trip to the summit with spectacular long distance views.

La Pradera-Goríz-Lago Helado-Perdido  Sucess!

Various times. The date given was the first time.

From Torla, on foot, by the path to La Pradera. (also by bus in summer when the road is closed to private vehicles, a couple of times). Up the superb walk (about 2 hours) to the Cola de Caballo waterfall and then the clavejas de Soaso (also done the zig-zags in bad weather) to Goríz.

From Goriz: Taillon in August 2009. In August 2007, Monte Perdido by the normal route that is described here, passing the Lago Helado.

In the summer  Sucess!

Climbed guiding a group, in summer conditions (following the rocky spur at the right side of the corridor). Loose stones near the final part.

Corredor del Lago Helado - Normal Route  Sucess!

I climbed with my brother Gabi from Goriz Hut. We had a quite exciting time from Lago Helado to the summit going through the famous and dangerous "Escupidera" which was completely covered with clouds/fog.

We reached the summit at 12h30pm with very poor visibility. We took a hot tea, a picture and hurried back to celebrate our first 3000m.

We were not lucky...  Sucess!

not at least about the weather. In spite of our choosing the end of the summer, it was a cold, windy and foggy day. Not even good sights from the summit, apart from a couple of glances at the Lago de Marboré. Well... I guess that means we shall have to get back one time or another
