Coulter's Daisy, Erigeron coulteri

Coulter's Daisy, Erigeron coulteri

This moisture-loving perennial is occasional in the Tahoe Basin along creeks and in meadows. The highest I've seen it growing is at Gilmore Lake at 8320 feet. I've also seen this species along the trail near Upper Echo Lake, Glen Alpine Spring, Fallen Leaf Lake, and along the shadier parts of the Pony Express trail just past the East Wall of Lover's Leap. Photo taken June 9, 2007 near Cold Creek, Carson Range.
