Nice Little Hike for a family
Our whole extended family (age range 20 - 80) loved this hike up from the Parkway. Well maintained trail, and a nice overlook at the top

Rest Stop
Saw this on my way out of Pisgah after a 4 mile hike to Rattlesnake Lodge and couldn't pass up the opportunity for a summit view one more time before heading home. Was pleasantly surprised with the hike itself, and the views were pretty great as well.

Worth the quick climb
If you want to get a good view of the Craggy Gardens this is where you come.
I have hiked this trail a few times when I lived in WNC

It's a nice rest stop when you're driving. You get out and climb a hill. Excellent.

From Craggy Gardens Picnic Area
Not certain exactly where the closures were on the BR Pkwy, we got a little more than we bargained for in this hike. We started at the Craggy Gardens Picnic area near Bear Pen knob. We had to actually hike along the road and through the Craggy Pinnacle tunnel. It was a lovely day, though. I sat up on the windy summit enjoying my lunch looking at ALL THOSE OTHER MOUNTAINS to summit...

Great views-- first time up there even though I'd been by it many times before. The crowded parking lot had always kept me away.
