Crater Lake ('18)
Climbed the park HP, Mount Scott, and visited a number of overlooks. Beautiful area, one of my favorites, would definitely recommend

Need to go back
Haze from a massive forest fire down south made hiking less than ideal and turned the lake's water into a pale reflection. Like many here, I must return someday.

Pristine place
This is definitely the most beautiful National Park I visited so far. Not too big, not too small, beautiful like a post card. I hope to go back sometimes during the month of August to be able to hike every peak.
Just passing through, hiked a little around visitor center. I'd like to explore a little more when I get out that way again.

Beautiful lake, great weather!
First time to Crater Lake, and it was spectacular to see. Snow still covered much of the banks of the lake, and the road was only open halfway around the lake. We put on our crampons and climbed up to the Watchmen Tower, which was another awesome view and fun to do!! Great place to see all around.

Cleetwood Trail
Date approximate. Singing this one because I hiked down to Cleetwood Cove and touched the waters of Crater Lake, which I think counts as a sort of "reverse summit" accomplishment.

Out taking in scenery with my future wife
Nice views and lots of snow. Also came here as a kid one in 1987.
The first time was with my father in the spring and the snow was 20+ feet high above the sides of the road. I returned in 2016 on a solo trip and was able to hike, Llao Rock, Mount Scott, Dutton Cliff, Garfield Peak, Dyar Rock, Applegate Peak, Hillman Peak, and The Watchman in less than 24 hours including camping time.

mostly snow covered
Hiked Garfield Peak - "trail closed" but snow supportable. Tried Crater Peak but no tracks to mark route on snow. The only trail without snow was Cleetwood Cove!

Garfield
Climbed snow ridge to summit of Garfield Peak 8054FT/2455M. Scenery and solitude!
Absolutely spectacular --- visit was too brief, hikes too short...need to get back there again!

Awesome
Stopped by briefly on a drive from California to Washington. The lake is SO BLUE.
I've climbed about a half-dozen peaks in the park during 2 or 3 visits over the years. The lake is spectacularly beautiful.

Memorable experience...
The first time I did it solo and got a great photo of Theilsen to
the north. A Park Ranger helped me out in getting my car started up again, after it had stalled in front of the VC. I just did the normal trails to the north. In May 2003, I came in from the south with my wife. A sign had said the road was closed, but it turned
out everything was open. I remember seeing Mount Shasta and
Mount McLaughlin from the road going up to the lake, so it was
a clear day. My wife and I just played around in a snowbank,
looked down at the lake and dreamed.

The Deep
Often visited with my family when we lived out west. I wondered what it might be like 1,000 feet below the surface in the crater's black, cold waters. I also had a great fondness for Wizard Island. Have spent a fair amount of time hiking and exploring the area.
