I discovered this mountain chain several years ago. I've been hiking & climbing in Montana for several decades now and the Crazies are probably my favorite place to go. The hike into Campfire Lake is phenomenal and Rock Lake as well. People just don't go here. I absolutely love it here !
Climbed Crazy Peak just after one of the first winter storms. The summit was covered in snow and ice, which made it quite sketcy in places. We had terrible weather the entire climb, but managed to summit anyways. I love this range, and hope to return soon!!!!
