Very catching!

A very catching shot you made of Crib Gogh...I remember that mountain very well from summer 1992...I went up Snowdon that way. I don't know what the situation is nowadays, I haven't been back there ever since...but back then I was a bit taken aback by how careless some people were, going up there in sneakers, and even with kids...it is, after all, a route that would be marked in an alpine guide-book as grade I+; the ridge behind the summit is quite exposed, and there were no security measures (ropes, bars etc.) whatsoever. It shouldn't be underestimated.
Cheers,
Eric

Re - Very catching!

Very interesting comments there Eric, the situation on Crib Coch (Red Ridge) is the same as always, even in Winter people without experience will try to summit Snowdon via this route only to be caught out on the ridge ! I is given a grade 1 ridge and quite right as you say ` should not be underestimated`,
Personally I dont think that we should consider rope, bars ect, where would you draw the line ?
Cheers for that Eric.
