Started on VF Marino Biachi and made my way to the summit via the standard route. Great view and not many people on the ferrata.

Via Normale to Main Summit  Sucess!

My second ascent on Mt Cristallo from Passo Tre Croci - this time solo. One of the best scrambles in the Dolomites, hands down. At least back in the days no major routefinding problems due to some blazes cairns. Pretty solid rock and an unexpected finish on the final ridge.

2 popular routes and one almost unknown one  Sucess!

With my friend Attila. Walked from Passo Tre Croci to Rif. Són Fórcia. There we took the funicular to Rif. G. Lorenzi. As on this day we were the very first people to start the easy ferrata to Cristallino d'Ampezzo, we could enjoy the view of the famous suspension bridge in silence and lonelyness. On our return way to Rif. G. Lorenzi we met the hordes of tourists "challenging" the same route. I lost my patience at the bride where we couldn't cross for 10 minutes because some 20 guided tourists were linked to each other with a rope (!) and all of them secured themselves to both sides of the bridge with their ferrata sets. In order to cross it in safety. It was ridiculous and upsetting.

From Rif. G. Lorenzi we ascended also Cima di Mezzo, without any conflicts. We returned to Passo Tre Croci on the same way as we came, with the difference that in the meantime we also explored the rarely visited peak called Garóles. In order to visit also an unpopular place.

Ferrata Marino Bianchi   Sucess!

We planned to go for the ''3-tofana's'', but since the cableway was closed, we went to Cristallo. Did the Ferrata Marino Bianchi. Beautiful Ferrata and great views from Cristallo di Mezzo. A little crowded, probably because it was a sunday. Great weather, great tour!

VF Marino Bianchi (July 1998) & Ivano Dibona (July 2002)  Sucess!

Two good routes. Marino Bianchi is very short, under an hour, so OK for a short day, Ivano Dibona a good days outing with some spectacular positions.

Via ferrata Ivano Dibona  Sucess!

After ascent to Cima di Mezzo,we started the way on this ferrata.Unfortunately,it rained,so I didn't enjoy Ponte Cristallo and the upper part of this ferrata. But near the first ruins, the sun started to shine again.
I liked it,Especially part on foot bridges after missing Buffa di Perrero.Great!

Route Climbed: via ferrata Marino Binachi to Cristallo di Mezzo Date Climbed: July 20th, 2005  Sucess!

Ascent and descent by same way: steel cable climbing route, called via ferrata. Ferrata Marino Bianchi leads from the hut Rifugio Lorenzi (2932 m) to the middle peak of Cristallo, called Cristallo di Mezzo (3154 m). The way up takes about one and half hours, back about one hour only. On the day of ascent it was a really lovely weather, what can you see in the pictures describing the route.
