The trails have been modified considerably over the past few years judging by the looks of it. Halfway up the mountain is a wooden promontory near some blueberry fields that is wheelchair accessible; the remainder of the summit trail is gentle but still foot travel only. I got five ticks from an hour of hiking there so the ticks in the area are numerous.
Hiked this peak this peak then.
Easy climb even with my 4 and 3 year olds and the 15 week old puppy. We had no problem Headed right up the Shannon trail. The sky was a wonderful cloudless blue and the trees were in full color all around everywhere we looked.
Hiked to the top to ski down from the summit in the powder!
Hiked with my husband EastKing!
