There were some really great views as the storm cleared. Also the rocks were really wet which at least made it seem more riskier and therefore more fun.

First Outdoor Climb
First Climb outdoors, I loved it and only a hour from the house.
Route Climbed: Crowder's Mountain Trail & Rocktop Trail. Date Climbed: Many times, latest 03-28-2004
I visit this mountain several times per year, since it's the closest peak to where I live. However, I usually climb the more impressive sister peak, King's Pinnacle, which is about 300 feet taller and more dramatic. But this is a good climb and there are some nice places to sit and chill out and enjoy this bit of forest and slopes isolated here in the flat country around Charlotte NC.

One of the few sport areas in NCWhen I lived in Charlotte Crowder's was the place to escape to if you only had a few hours. Best areas in my opinion is near Trundlesaurous.

Good varietyNice crag with lots of climbs around. Gets hot in the summer, but shade abounds some climbing areas depending on the time of day.

Quick visitNice little climbing area. A bit on the crowded side. Did some fine routes and then went home.
