Sweet climb after climbing Peak 10 with Chris Gerber and Charles D. Awesome day, but decided two peaks were enough...

Route Climbed: East Slopes/Ridge Date Climbed: 16-Oct-2005  Sucess!

Climbed up from Spruce Creek, over Peak 10 and up to Crystal. Nice day out with CharlesD and pksander. Lots of new snow from the storm a week ago, with long sections of postholing. Shouldn't have left the snowshoes (and the sunscreen!) in the car :-)

Route Climbed: East Ridge Date Climbed: July 4, 2005  Sucess!

Climbed Crystal as part of a long loop including Helen, Father Dyer, Pacific & Atlantic. Loved the scramble from Helen to Father Dyer! We finished with a traverse back east along Pacific's east ridge.

Route Climbed: South Slopes Date Climbed: September 25, 1983  Sucess!

This was a loop trip with the CMC. Starting at the lower Spruce Creek TH, we first followed the nice road and trail past the Mohawk Lakes and waterfall. The climb up the valley continued on tundra until we were due south of the summit. Climbing up the solid rock to the summit was a nice finish. Our descent took us down the northeast ridge to the saddle between Crystal and Peak 10, and then we dropped down to Upper Crystal Lake. From here we followed the 4WD road down the valley and back to our waiting cars.

No wind, all sun! Lots of fresh snow, though, which made for quite an interesting outing. Great day!

Route Climbed: East Ridge via Mount Helen and Father Dyer Date Climbed: September 18, 2004  Sucess!

Excellent climb with 3 summits. Ridge between Helen and Father Dyer is rugged. You can avoid the exposed points by staying to the south of the ridge crest. What a beautiful area.

Route Climbed: from Spruce Creek Date Climbed: September 11, 2004  Sucess!

I am surprised that more people haven't signed this summit log as it is quite a nice mountain. I wasn't having the best day hiking but I enjoyed the mountain anyway. Highly recommend the Spruce Creek approach. Beautiful fall hike.

I climbed Crystal Peak 3 yrs ago via the Mayflower Basin route. Combining Crystal and Pacific makes for a nice tour of the area.
