One of my favorite hikes in Rainier NP.
Cold day but excellent views.
6 volcanos... 14 deg Glacier Peak, 180 deg Mt. Adams, 186 deg Mt. Hood, 215 deg Mt. St. Helens, 256 deg Mt. Rainier, 354 deg Mt. Baker.
First memory of hiking a sub-summit in Mt. Rainier NP. It yielded fantastic views and was surprisingly snow free for the most part very early in the season.
3100 ft elevation gain with great views of Rainier.
I think my first time was this date with my brother and still quite a bit of snow on the top...but that could have been another time as well. Without snow, a great hikers trail.
