Icehouse Canyon   Sucess!

Great combo hike of Etiwanda and Cucamonga Peaks, but it was mostly in the clouds. Many of the trees were covered with ice though and that was a beautiful sight.

2nd Time  Sucess!

It was a beautiful warm Fall day, hiked up Middle Fork/Lytle Creek. Was surprised to see about 10 people on the summit. Some of the best views of the LA area!

Another Great Southern California Peak  Sucess!

I got to see the top of another one the great southern California peaks I've been looking up at all the time growing up here. Went down Chapman Loop through Cedar Glenn for some added scenery.

Pleasant Morning  Sucess!

Hustled up to the summit and back down before the crowds got to thick. Pleasant weather, deer at Icehouse Saddle was a nice surprise.

2nd of 4  Sucess!

Second time on this one. If it wasn't for the bugs and lack of shade, I could hang out on the summit for hours.

Icehouse Cyn and Wind  Sucess!

Took a relatively quick trot to bag 4 peaks in the San Gabriels. 4 of 4, now I have no reason to go back in Icehouse Canyon cuz that trailhead is a filthy dump!

Great fall hike  Sucess!

Hiked from icehouse canyon. Great hike! Above the clouds and fog on the summit and down in the fog in icehouse canyon on the way back. Snow on San G from recent storm.

Overlooking the city  Sucess!

High prominence over the city below, great views of surrounding peaks, healthy vegetation, and a good introduction to the San Gabriel Mountains.
Have done Icehouse Canyon/Cucamonga Peak Trail from TR in July.

3rd time  Sucess!

Hiked up Ice House Canyon. First went to Cucamonga then just followed the ridgeline down and picked up the Joe Elliot Trail for a bit then on up to the summit of Etiwanda. Nice little peak with great views. Pretty hot day.
