Dark-throat Shooting Star (Dodecatheon pulchellum)
Dark-throat shooting star is common along streams and in mountain meadows from near sea level to timberline. It ranges from Alaska to Mexico, east to the northeastern U.S. There are several closely related varieties of this species. Photo is from Hog Meadow Creek, Idaho.
