Here is my partner, David Valdes, ascending the last few feet before Col du Mont Maudit (4345 m) on the 3 Monts Traverse route of Mont Blanc. This was the crux of the route ~ 45° snow: July 22, 2008 (Photo: Miguel Forjan).
