Dawn in the Swiss Alps

Photo taken from Signalkuppe. The two rocky peaks nearby, on the right hand side of this panorama, are the Dufourspitze (4634m) and Nordend (4609m), which we want to climb today. Further right still, but much, much further away, is the Dom (4545m). On the far left is Liskamm (4527m), then Breithorn (4164m), Matterhorn (4477.5m) and Dent Blanche (4357m), to name just the most famous ones. 7 July 2013.
