winter vision :)
A superb view of hiking in very difficult winter condiitons.
Nice image. Is it at night?
When I attended the USAF Basic Survival School we spent four days in the mountains near Spokane--8 feet of snow--on homemade snowshoes. Not a good time! :-(
Thanks for adding it to the Why Do You Do It album!
It' s about 11am ;) We knew that there would be a lot of snow but we didn' t have snowshoes (not even self made ones)... But that was no problem (avalanche danger was at the end...)
I know this type of hard and dangerous situations. Excelent shot!
It is wonderful photo. According to your reply, if no snow shoes also you can hike there? Strong man you are..
Yes it is possible without snow shoes, but I wouldn' t call me strong, I would call me insane... ;)
Snow is scarey ;)
Yes, sometimes... but according to my experience it' s mostly exhausting...
My legs started burning just looking at breaking that trail. Great photo!
Thanks for you commment BCJ!
We did this for... I don' t know about 1.5km and finally the slope got too steep so we weren' t sure about the avalanche conditions anymore and finally turned back :( But a great trip anyhow!
Ohhh so many snow and so niiiiiiiiiiice, soon will be like in this pic :D, good photo and good u dont had avalanches ;)!
Yes, I' m looking forward for winter, too :)
shiny crystals in the snow.
Thanks for you comment! At the time is was there I wished it would be less of the beautiful snow...
Bad ass my friend...I do miss the snow of Europe (Back in the 80's)
I don't have much memories of that time but I remeber when I was a kid that there was much more snow in Munich (and it stayed longer than a few days...)!
That's an awesome pic. You really get lots of snow on Notkarspitze!
Thanks! Well, actually it's more than knee deep! We where walking on the branches of the mountain pines which are all over the place (it works better than it sounds). But every now and then you miss a twig and then you're in up to your chest... it's quite a workout to get on top of the pines again...
