Deer Mountain Loop
Cold, windy fall day on Deer Mountain with Andrea. We ascended from Deer Ridge then descended the other side and looped around the north side of the mountain. Great views of a blustery park.

Nice little hike. Smokey that day from the CA fires.

Quick hike with nice rocky perches overlooking the park, and Estes and stretch the legs/lungs. Bit rainy. Longs looming to the south, which is why I was there.

Deer Mountain Trail
Nice short hike with great views from the summit. This is my first ranked peak in RMNP.

afternoon hike
Quick afternoon hike after spending the morning on Otis, Hallett and Flattop. Nice view from the summit, but the trip up not so interesting.
Took my 6 year old and my 8 year old up this peak for their first real mountain summit under their own power. It was right about at the edge of their stamina and i think they had fun despite much whining. Perfect weather day. I've hiked all over RMNP and after finally doing Deer Mountain, I say it's worth it!

Beautiful, warm weather today. Upper trail was full of snow. Packed pretty well, started post holing in the late afternoon.

Deer MountainAfter work I climbed Deer Mountain. It was a nice late afternoon/evening hike and the views were great. It was a little windy, but still pleasant.
