Route Climbed: Northeast route from Basque Summit Date Climbed: 2 Oct 2004  Sucess!

Great climb with Dean during hunting season. The weather deteriorated on the way back to the car. First snow pellets, then hail, then rain, and just as we got to the car lightning. We got wet but we also got the summit and the County Highpoint of Churchill County.

Route Climbed: Northwest route Date Climbed: Oct 2, 2004  Sucess!

Dennis Poulin and I found ourselves in the midst of many hunters as hunting season opened on the same day as we climbed this peak. Careful to wear bright orange, we waited for about a half hour as hunters shot at deer that were on our route. After those skittish critters left the area, we carried on with our hike. Nice peak but if you had the right 4WD vehicle, you could actually start at 9000 feet. Hmmm.

Route Climbed: Rock Creek Ridges Date Climbed: May 29, 2004  Sucess!

Drove out from Bridgeport, CA and climbed this steep approach in the morning with Barry Beck and then drove over to the Shoshones to get North Shoshone Peak in the afternoon --- driving back to Bridgeport in the evening. 4hrs car-to-car on the Twins, with ~4100' gain and maybe 7mi. Saw some Sage Hen and Chukar near treeline.

Route Climbed: Mahogany Ridge Date Climbed: May 29, 2004  Sucess!

Climbed this peak and North Shoshone Peak with ScottyS on a warm Saturday in May. Outside of air quailty, the views are wonderful from the summit.
