Descending Schesaplana

Early summer 2012 there was a lot of snow on Schesaplana (2965m). This was close to the summit, but even the ground around the Totalphütte (2381m), where I had spent the night, was still mostly white. Normally, it's a steep hike to the summit, but that day it was close to an alpine excursion. In fact, when I set out, I brought my axe and crampons, just in case. I didn't need them though, it wasn't that difficult. 27 June 2012.
